This blog has some neat album covers, when I joined I told Chris I would not make them but I am so excited about this upcoming NEYO project I did my own cover! Its not as slick as Chris, or Jays but I did make it so don't be so hard on me...its my first one!

Crazy - NOW this is the new direction he was talking about. Its very European and fresh! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this cut!! My favorite of all the leaked material so far! It even has a music breakdown, very 90's makes me love the song even more...

Set It Off - The magic smooth sing-songy R&B that his first cd had has come back thru this song quite a song! Certainly will be one of my pre making love additions! I know I am not the only one who likes mood music? LOL

The Truth - This song is just ok to me. I do like how it changes beats after the first chorus. But I am not too moved by this.

NEYO - Love Migraine
Ne-Yo has had some really nice songs leak from his upcoming CD. Love Migraine I don't think is one. I think its a demo for someone because the song is sung in female. In the second verse it talks about the lover having a wife. Its a nice song! I don't know what female I would like to hear sing this though...Whoever he gives it too I hope he leaves himself on the chorus he has nice harmonies. OR is this Neyo coming out to us, saying how it hurts to keep his gay love inside? Tell me what you think in the comments.

Marcia Ambrosius ft. Henry Simms - When you want
Marcia Ambrosius (the singer from Floetry) steps out on her own with this song. I am loving this song, the male singer for me however steals the song from her. WHO is he?!?!? He out sung her on her own song!

Jazmine has quite a following, and she is being hailed as the 2nd coming of Lauryn Hill...She has a nice voice and all, but I need to see alot more before I can see her dethroning Lauryn...I'm just saying....

Man ole man, am I the only one who is always in the perpetual LIKE stage? That stage where you like someone and you are getting to know them and you can't stop thinking of them, and you smile every time...Well I am there now and my music taste this week sure has been reflective of that...So now the Top 7 in LIKE songs.

7.) Where We Stand - Faith Evans - A banger by Faith if you cannot relate to this song then you love life is about as dead as a door nail, LOL. I can recall at least 10 people I used to think about when I heard it, man I like alot!

6.) Whats Ya Name - Janet - A song for those in like who just met. Sans-Discipline, I have sung this to about 4 of the numbers I have gotten. All but 1 have been kicked to the curb. LOL

5.) Every Thought is You - Kelly Rowland - Lyrically the first verse alone is worth listening to because she sums up infatuation, and that's the emotion that being in LIKE strikes....

4.)My Love - (NEW) Mario ft. Usher - A classic In LIKE beg one of those right before some make-up sex type of begs...the one that you never share with your friends...lol...

Its clear that she will SAY anything to remain relevant. Attacking Janet is a no-no!

Fantasia steps back onto the scene with this soulful treat! It sounds retro and I am really digging it...I LOVED her last album but even I can admit it was a little raunchy, lol. This type of sound showcases her voice and establishes her as an artist who could have stood out during any time period because she has that big power voice...LOVE it!

I like alot of different music and sometimes we never hear from that artist again. So this week I ask whatever happened to DA BAND? With a cd that is still getting spins and a making Da Band that was the most interesting ever will Da Band ever come out with anything again? Honestly they welt platinum so I don't see why they are shelved! Take to the comments and let me know if you have any information. First up in talking is is Bow Wow who spits a verse on the remix of Hot Stylez 'Looka Boy'. Go to about 1 minute to hear bow wows verse he talks about his hair, tight jeans and other stuff, and at the end of the verse he disses Raz-B. Comical! For the comments which one between Bow Wow and Omarian would u call the scorned Ex, my money is on Bow Weezie! LOL


Next is the never-was-relevant Fredro Starr revealing that Brandy's head game is crazy...advance to 3:20 to hear that...He has some DVD coming out...guess the Moesha money isn't as long as your making it out to be.

First up we have lil Wayne with A milli - What the hell? Maybe I was wrong for expecting more, but...this is it? Big YAWN! And note to Lil Wayne, PLEASE leave your shirt on!


Neyo has his own version of A Milli which is supposed to be a Chris Brown Diss. Remember Chris Brown said he sold 2 mill while neyo went 500,000. Another old-young beef (Ice T, Soulja Boy), at least this one produced a decent song...but the whole thing is laughable. For the comments...does this give NEYO more street cred, I mean will it bring the "gay" rumors to a halt?


Maria - Finally a decent single from that album! Love the video and I love T.I. on the song!

Christina Milian "All we need" Feat. Voyce Alexander is a HOT song and too me a step in the right direction for Christina. Is it me or does the male sound like a knock of Mario...I'm just sayin...talk about it in the comments!

A very nice ballad, with some of the great material that was unreleased material from the B-day sessions....its amazing that she chose to make a mediocre club type of CD. This song will be getting alot of spins...and it would have been a HIT...She has incredible voice control in this song, this is already one of my favorite from her.

Beyonce - Honesty

This is the first track that has leaked from Solanges upcoming cd that doesn't sound retro. I am loving this song...she finally has matured with her writing and singing and realizes she does not have to be a mini-beyonce. I will be picking up Sol Angel and the Hadley street dream come August!

Michelle Williams performs in a small club on 6/29, I know people like he and all but I just can't take her seriously as an artist! I can't put my finger on it yet but for some reason she doesn't strike me as a "star", nice performance though.


Amy Winhouse did the Glastonbury Festival where she opened for the headliner Jay-Z. Considering ll that she has been through I though she did a GREAT job! Even though she punched a guy who grabbed her breast...STELLAR job. Here is the performance in 3 parts in its entirety.

Rhianna ft. Maroon 5 - The sultry Rhianna performed this Friday on MTV's new show FN'MTV...one of her best to date. She lacks stage presence and energy most of the time...maybe Chris Brown has been giving her some pointers in private.

I have been EXCITED to hear new music from Michael, especially hearing that he was working with AKON, NEYO, Swizz Beats, etc...I LOVE it...a very nice duet indeed! This is the first time to me at least that Michael actually has a modern sound. Although Invincible was a GREAT cd, the material still had a dated sound! This may be a hit in waiting, I am now excited to hear what else pops up.

So this Friday we'll have an official 7 songs of the week but to hold you over here are the 7 Mellow Songs of the Moment a list that you can pop in the car and just ride to....

7.) N.E.R.D. - Yeah You - A classic song for any one of the stalkers we face. Just for fun listen to Pharell talking like a girl, that alone makes this song a classic.

6.) Ryan Leslie ft. Cassie and Fabulous - Addiction - Of all the producers turned artist I feel him the most (although Ne-Yo is not to far behind). Listen to all the elements of the beat, not the best singing but i love it.

5.) Solange ft. Lil Wayne - Champagne Chronic Nightcap - Solange finally is coming into he own and finding a sound that works for her, and she is talking about a subject quite a few of us can relate to alcohol and or drugs and ur mate. Lil Wayne is the icing on top of a great song. Listen until the end and tell me in the comments....do u think they really were smoking weed in the studio?

4.) Common ft. Pharell - Universal Mind Control - Crazy beat, and a chorus that will get stuck in your head! If they really push this right it could be a hit!

3.) Jean Grae - Love Thirst - If you are looking for an alternative to the label dropping female rappers out there then Jean Grae is the one...this song is a classic...

2.) Ne-Yo - Nobody & Don't Fall in Love - Two new cuts from his yet to be released 3rd album. Nobody really channels Michael Jackson, and its similar to closer in the way its one of those mellow songs that can be great in the club as well. Don't Fall in Love is classic NEYO, this song is in constant rotation in songs I am listening to lately.

1.) Peter Hadar - Painted - A instant classic. He is a new singer who dropped his 2nd album in May, and as an added bonus you can download his new cd Memories of the Heart here.
